Decklike
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Decklike is a minimalist and card-based traditional roguelike where the player's attack pool of cards also serves as their health. Every pip used against you or an enemy will subtract a random whole card.
The pip is the damage; the suit is the range, ordered as:
♥ Hearts (1), ♠ Spades (2), ♣ Clubs (3), and ♦ Diamonds (4).
Use the ? key at any point to review the controls (which are also fully rebindable!).
- Numpad or arrow keys to move!
- `f` to play a card, then type its name (e.g. '2h' for 2 of hearts), which will remove it from your pool.
- `j` to play a jester (‼), and move everything in the discard pile back to your hand.
- `l` to look around, examining the cards of your foes.
- `5` to wait out a turn.
- `,` to wait until something sees you.
- `<` to climb stairs.
- `ESC` to open menu.
Check out the README included within for a more detailed guide, and be wary of dragons!

Decklike can be played optionally either in (some) terminals, or as a regular application if launched outside a terminal. Windows systems should automatically open the game as a regular application (terminal emulator). If the default window overflows, rejoice in overflowing power (or resize the window, as you can do that).
We're also open-source! https://gitlab.com/Absthistle/decklike
If the code's too much, you can always toy with the entities.txt file on your own!
